Exposure is the debut solo album by guitarist and composer Robert Fripp. Unique among Fripp solo projects for its focus on the pop song format, it grew out of his previous collaborations with David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, and Daryl Hall, and the latter two singers appear on the album.

Peter Gabriel's second solo album also has a great album design from Hipgnosis and one of the better album covers you'll see. The album didn't do as well as debut (missed the US Top 50 in ) but has held up well as opposed to lots of music made in /5().

Aug 16,  · Strange but true. Most people’s first acquaintance with Peter Gabriel dates back to the mids and the Sledgehammer video that brought a touch of class to the rapidly expanding MTV channel and dropped him right into the laps of a new generation. And yet, decades years after he walked away from his original prog-rock persona in Genesis, the ghost still lingers.
  7. Yozilkree says:
Leaving Genesis after six albums, at the age of 25, Peter Gabriel’s solo career initially felt like an attempt to distance himself from his former band. It took him a couple of albums to find his feet, but his third self-titled album, known as Melt, established him as a innovative solo artist, and also revealed his interests in political activism, notably the closing track ‘Biko’.
